What We Believe

  1. You can’t continue on as you have before. Something has to give.
  2. You can change your body, but you can’t trade it in for a new one.
  3. You can change your mind, and train it to be your ally.
  4. You have to eat real food.
  5. You have to move. Really move.
  6. People will try to give you substitutes for real change. Be skeptical.
  7. There will always be crap you have to get out of the way.
  8. Broccoli is better than hot Cheetos. (Really.)
  9. You can set an example. Others will be better around you if you live your life to the fullest.
  10. You count. Invest in yourself.
  11. The keys for a happy and healthy life are the same for everyone — whether or not you have diabetes.
  12. Your real life starts now — not after you’ve lost the weight, become fit or won the lottery.
  13. Don’t make perfect the enemy of the good. Incremental progress is good.
